Bet you didn't expect this! Mario Golf Toadstool Tour is the Gamecube version of Mario Golf and my god did they nail it for this one! I feel like this is the perfect Mario Golf game from the ones I played where you are in perfect control of how well you perform on the course. The newest one, Super Rush, is really good too but the fact that there's some RNG involved when hitting the ball where it could curve either to the left or right can be frustrating and I feel like the preview showing where the ball will land can be way off sometimes so that's weird. Anyway, this one has it all! Great graphics, a ton of personality to the characters, great gameplay, lots of content and different modes and last but not least, the music!! It's soo good! I love how catchy the melodies are and I wanted to play the game again after hearing the music again, it's that good to me. I love it when composers go out of their way to make so many great tracks for a game that moves forward a lot and because of that, lots of parts of the songs won't really get heard unfortunately but if you listen to the tracks on its own, it's really really great stuff! Cheep Cheep Falls is a highlight for me, that melody is just awesome and Ring Attack is so cute and wholesome I love it. Even if Ring Attack the mode is a nightmare sometimes haha I still love the song. Lakitu Valley is iconic for me and a great jam and even the Main Menu where you select your mode has an amazing vibe! Blooper Bay is really cute too and I'm glad I was able to play that tapping part clean because I was thinking I had to simplify it at first but through practice, I got it so I'm proud of that! I really hope Nintendo adds this game to the NSO at some point, I would replay it in a heartbeat!
