In this octagon lattice the unit is made with 2 octagons, whereas in 'Octagon lattice 1' 6 octagons were used. Both lattices have the same topology as Schwarz's P surface, so all the lattices I found using large polygons (with 8, 9, 10 and 12 edges) have the same lines as the P surface. The one with enneagons is the D surface, but the lines from the P surface can be found there too, when considering 2 tetrahedra as one cell with 6 outgoing tunnels.
When I made this build I didn't know of asianimal's video, showing the lattice with smaller octagons: youtube.com/watch?v=W4po1baeScc&feature=plcp
