The little sphere that is made with 72 magnets represents a 62 sided polyhedron with 6 squares, 8 regular triangles, 24 triangles of which I'm not sure if they're regular and 24 irregular pentagons. As it is not a Catalan solid, I cannot find the name if it has one. It seems it can only be constructed with magnets using the implosion technique demonstrated in this video. It can be used as a base to build a 26 sided polyhedron with 12 rectangular faces with rhombic dodecahedron symmetry, 6 square faces with cube symmetry and 8 triangular faces with octahedron symmetry. The lattice shown in this video can be observed as representing Schwarz' D surface as each unit connects to 4 other units with tetrahedral symmetry.
