With Henry being ill and with it being the Christmas rush, Topham Hatt had brought Albert in from the LMS to help out with the work. Albert came to the Island many years ago to help build the North Western Railway. However Thomas was jealous since he wanted to help but with him leaving Henry's coaches behind, Topham Hatt decided against it. But Thomas would soon learn that he shouldn't be jealous, especially towards Albert.
