These large router bits don't fit through the hole in the router table's insert plate. Luckily, I have several insert plates, and one of them seemed easy to modify. I removed the inner edge. But they still don't fit through the opening in the base that holds the palm router. This isn't a problem, though, since these tongue and groove router bits use cutting discs that are detachable. So, I can first install the palm router with the router bit arbor onto the router table and then I mount the cutting discs and bearing directly. When routing the wood for the tongue and groove joint, it's important that I removed the inner edge from the insert plate, because to create the tongues in the wood, one of the discs needs to be slightly below the table top surface. By removing the inner edge of the insert plate, I ensure that the cutting edges don't hit or rub against the metal of the insert plate. I didn't trust much these cheap wood router bits, but they're working well on softwood, so we'll see them in action in a next woodworking video.
