How easy it can be to route mortises to make mortise and tenon joints! I put a couple of centering bearings on the base of my plunge router and routed two mortises in a strip of wood. Installing the bearings and making the adjustments was quite easy, but I didn't feel completely comfortable working with them. Perhaps it's just a lack of practice. The problem is that you have to be very careful to keep the bearings firmly against the wood, but without applying too much force so as not to tilt the router.
