While approaching Holmesburg Junction Station, an inbound SEPTA train meets an Amtrak train while passing Holmesburg Prison. The prison was in use between 1896 and 1995. Holmesburg Junction Station is located in the Holmesburg neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is served by SEPTA's Trenton Line, as displayed in this video. The interlocking tower at this location (right) is located at the junction between Amtrak's "Northeast Corridor" and the Conrail Shared Assets "Bustleton Branch." That branch, formerly of the Pennsylvania Railroad, offered passenger rail service until 1926 but is still active with a freight train servicing local customers.
