Experienced, skilled women are being lost from the workforce at a time when they should be thriving in their careers, because they are experiencing hormonal changes that have gone unrecognised or untreated.
Too often, the conversation of hormone changes focuses on hot flushes, when the symptoms that are really affecting women at work are brain fog, poor concentration, anxiety, fatigue and a loss of confidence. Many women reduce their hours, turn down promotions or leave work altogether, despite there being effective hormone treatments that would help.
In this week’s podcast, I’m joined by @meckymcneil to discuss why hormonal health should be part of every workplace conversation, why employers have an important role to play and how greater awareness and access to the right hormone treatment would help more women stay healthy, fulfilled and in the careers they love.
Please share this episode with colleagues, employers and anyone who wants to see women better supported and educated throughout their working lives.
