Norma Shearer (August 11, 1902 - June 12, 1983) and Robert Montgomery (May 21, 1904 - September 27, 1981) were both MGM contract players and were paired together in five pre-code films - "Their Own Desire" (1929), "The Divorcee" (1930), "Strangers May Kiss" (1931), "Private Lives" (1931) and "Riptide" (1934). They were also good friends off-screen. The song is "Blue The Night" by Nat Shilkret with vocals by James Melton, which was featured in "Their Own Desire" (1929).

A tribute to Alice Faye (May 5, 1915 – May 9, 1998) and her most frequent male co-star, Don Ameche (May 31, 1908 – December 6, 1993). They were an adorable screen team (and as both were good singers, they were an ideal teaming for musicals at their home studio, 20th Century Fox). In all, they appeared in six films together, all of which have had official DVD releases. Don said in later years that Alice was his favorite leading lady. Alice recorded the song, Its Swell Of You in 1937.
