Kids wanted a chocolate fountain, so bought this from Lakeland, its called Gourmet Gadgetry chocolate fountain, and this was first try this afternoon.
Instructions say to use at least 900g of chocolate for fully flowing fountain.
We found 150ml of sunflower oil with two 400g bars of galaxy chocolate worked well as a mix to flow nicely (Apparently a bit less oil is needed for dairy milk, but we didn't try that).
We softened the chocolate one bar at a time in microwave for 1 minute in a bowl, mix oil in then pour onto fountain on heat setting for a few minutes before turning motor on. Motor bogs down a bit initially but soon steadys and it flows nicely.
Main issue is its really noisy, certainly too loud for conversation, but it is fun, and not as bad for washing up as I feared, you need a few bowls of hot water and a bottle brush, but it all comes clean eventually.
We tried grapes, raspberries, marshmallows, sugar fruit jellies, jelly gum sherbert pencils, foam banana's and chips - all were fun to try, Raspberries and sugar fruit jellies were the best we thought.
Chips were odd but not what I'd call nice ;)
