I got stuck in a field during a week-long expedition and had to hike out to get a jump. Uncool. I wanted something light and easy to leave on top of the hood to charge the Jeep while I was gone. This solar contraption works. It is simple yet effective. It can be left out in the elements and so it could be great for a boat or quad battery. I want to be able to brighten up the next county with my bar lights so I can't have a weak battery. This also works for your backup sump pump if you need that to work for more than a few days. Overall, for $25, this is a bit of insurance any prepper would want.
