The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022 was awarded to ACS Central Science Editor-in-Chief Professor Carolyn R. Bertozzi, and Professors Morten Meldal, and K. Barry Sharpless “for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry,” which involve simple, quick chemical reactions that can occur within living organisms without disrupting normal biological functions.
To honor the winners, ACS Publications installed banners at the ACS headquarters in DC during Nobel Week.
