No 70 Elizabeth II is seen on its first hauled passenger service on the Severn Valley Railway in its temporary Purple/Pink tribute livery for the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the start of of June. While the colour is very much debatable, what's not debatable is the recent outside publicity for the railway which this temporary livery has sparked. As an enthusiast we think its unsightly, but we're happy to see it and we fully back the railways decision to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee with this course of action which we hope and expect to bring in new visitors to the railway.
