The Nigor WickiUp 3 / Shangri-La 3 pyramid tent. Is it the ideal four season tent for backpacking and wild camping?

After searching for months on the internet looking for the holy grail of tents I hope that at last I may have found one that ticks all the boxes. With several features that allow for different conditions and styles of camping it may be my new go to tent from now on and am looking forward to trying it out soon.!

Spent ages looking at Terra Nova’s, Hilleberg’s, Tarptents, Trekkertent, Duomid, Trailstar and MSR to name a few but they all had one issue or another such as poor wind stability, condensation, weight, waiting lists, etc. So I wonder if this could be the ideal 4-Seasons tent for various scenarios?

It is a fairly Lightweight tent system, and could be fairly ultralight if just using the flysheet and your walking poles. This offers a good design with a great space-to-weight ratio. The pyramid style design with one DAC center pole cuts weight in a big way and is supposed to offer extreme stability in bad weather conditions.

Purchased the flysheet and pole setup and initially the single 'Luxe HexpeakV4' inner nest to try out the tent. plan on getting a full mesh inner from China and the proper Nigor double inner.

Tent could allow for the following combinations if you do a bit of searching and sourcing.

1. Flysheet only.
2. Flysheet and single person full inner mesh
3. Fly and single person solid inner
4. Flysheet and double solid inner
5. Possible camping stove addition

Features I really like.

1. Weather and wind shedding capability.
2. Multiple pole options
3. Multiple tie out points for guy lines.
4. Can use my Pacer or any other trekking poles to lower weight.
5. Ample space for kit and getting changed.
6. Easiest tent I have ever had for packing away
7. Takes up very little space in rucksack.

However as with all tents it may look good on first pitch and the principles seem sound but the real proof will be in the using. So will keep this until the end of the year and in to the winter to see how it really performs.
