Playthrough with Pyron, using the version of the game included on Capcom Fighting Collection. This is basically a Champion Edition style upgrade to the first Darkstalkers, and fixes the issues I had with it. The two bosses are playable, and two extra characters were also added: Donovan and Hsien-Ko. The special gauge was revamped and is much better than it was before.
The CPU was also toned down. Whilst I wouldn't call this super easy, compared to the first game it's a piece of cake. You don't really need any special strategies to get through it, at least with Pyron. Pyron's super move can be really good, if you can catch the opponent at certain distances you can really lay into them with extra attacks to do even more damage -as seen at 18:37.
