TEXT VERSION FOR SIMPLICITY ||

1. Get a bunch of Gold, Blue, and Red Moonflower Seeds. You should only need 10 of each, since you'll be getting a bunch of extra seeds as you go.
2. Plant your first set of flowers as below:
Gold - Blue - Gold - Blue - Gold
or
Blue - Gold - Blue - Gold - Blue
Make sure you plant them in this order (not all of one color, then the other) as it greatly improves your chances of getting a hybrid flower. Once they're all planted, save the game and move the clock forward two days.
3. Your flowers are now dead. Mourn this senseless loss of life (by which I mean your time. Doing this.)
4. Harvest the remains; you'll get seeds from the flowers, and you'll likely pick up a few Indigo seeds from some of the plants. If not, you'll get back more seeds than you initially planted, and you can try again.
5. With Indigo seeds in hand, plant them alongside the Red ones (Red - Indigo - Red - Indigo - Red, or vice versa). Mess with your clock again so the plants are dead.
6. Indigo/Red will eventually (approx. 5% chance per eligible plant) yield Pink seeds. It may take some doing. Just keep at it. That, or realize that you're doing an unnecessary quest for a negligible reward and your going to have to get over your terrible OCD obsession with getting 100% in video games somehow, and this is really a good time to do so. It doesn't even hep with a trophy. Seriously.
6a. Comments say that Peach (Gold+Red) + Indigo can also yield Pink seeds. I think this might actually have a better chance of getting you seeds (10%, perhaps?), but also involves another round of hybridization. Do what you think you need to do.
7. Eventually, you'll get Pink seeds. If you don't have enough, just re-plant the seeds, kill the flowers, and harvest until you have enough. Keep a couple extra if you plan on getting the White Moonflower trophy.
8. ...profit?

A minor addendum: Life in the Sands is not hard. It's esoteric and it's tedious, but it's not hard. That's really the major problem with it; the game never informs you about flower hybridization and collecting seeds (as opposed to the flowering plants), and never gives you any hints about how the colors interact, so you're really left with no idea what to do in regards to getting Pink Moonflower Seeds.

Gonna be honest, a lot of this is affectation. I've never had trouble with Life in the Sands, having the good sense to look it up on the Internet, but I completely understand why so many people hate it. It doesn't help that (as of this writing) the only reference on GameFAQs is 100% WRONG, and as a go-to source of information that will screw over a lot of people who just want to get this crazy cultist his goddamn flowers. Once you know what you're doing, though, it's just a timesink.
