"Nico" is one of the last songs I started writing for the album. I started it in April, if I remember correctly. I was having a lot of trouble with it, despite liking all the ideas I had for it.

Part of it was the song being too high (it was originally 2 semitones higher) and another part was that my voice didn't really fit the song well enough.

For a while, I was set on scrapping the song, but before I did I showed it to Matt and Chris. They both told me they liked it and Matt offered to sing on it! Then Matt sang on it and added a few lyrics/melodies along the way (the bridge vocals were all his idea). Matt did a job and I can't express my gratitude enough!
