This piece is a conversation between cello and percussion. The inspiration for this piece is the end of lockdown, when we suddenly expect to converse in person again, and the awkwardness that comes with it. It starts slow and the texture is thin, referring to the nervous feeling you have when you start a new conversation. Then we hear a more coherent back and forth between Marimba and Cello, which finally leads into explosive and excited dialogue which quickly fizzles out to the awkwardness of ending the conversation.
