Newly released body camera and dash camera video provides more information about a police shooting in Newington that left Hector Perez dead and two officers injured.

According to the Office of Inspector General, the incident began as Hartford police investigated allegations of gunfire threats. Police say Perez fled, leading to a car chase that ended in Newington. Video shows officers pursuing Perez into a wooded area before multiple gunshots are heard. Hartford Officer Alexander Diaz and Rocky Hill Officer Johnathan Escobar were struck and are recovering from their injuries. The Office of Inspector General says the investigation is ongoing.
