He just woke up a little fussy, so I’m going to see if he needs to potty.
And…yep. Pee!
This baby is literally ONE DAY and 15 minutes old, you guys, and we’re already starting to hit a rhythm with this pee-pee stuff.
He wakes up.
He fusses.
Time to offer the potty.
That’s elimination communication.
And yes, sometimes babies cry while you’re pottying them.
They cry sometimes. We cry sometimes. 😂
It doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong. I’m right here with him, talking to him, holding him, and giving him the opportunity to go.
In this video, you’ll also see me figuring out his pee trajectory in real time because apparently this little guy pees in an ARC. 😂
We’re learning each other.
I’m noticing his timing and signals, offering the potty when I think he needs it, and then getting him cleaned up and settled again.
No perfection required.
He’s brand-new. I’m learning him. He’s learning me.
And I’m already starting to notice a pattern.
