One of the biggest parts of elimination communication is learning YOUR baby.
Cooper had just breastfed, I noticed his signal, and I knew he probably needed to pee.
So what do we do?
Potty right there in the grass. 😂
And sure enough…BIG post-breastfeeding pee!
This is why learning your baby’s signals AND natural timing can be so helpful with EC.
After feeding can be a really useful time to offer the potty. And once you start paying attention to your own baby, you’ll begin noticing the little things they do when they need to go.
In this video, I also show you something super practical: how I put Cooper’s diaper back on while he’s balanced across my lap.
No changing table required.
You can use this same basic idea when you’re out and about, or even squat down on a bathroom floor when you need to get your baby changed.
That’s real-life elimination communication.
Notice the signal.
Offer the potty.
Catch what you catch.
Get everybody dressed again.
And keep going with your day. 🙌
