Thrive Causemetics sent me their new sheer strength lip plumping peptide lip glosses!
Description: “Our peptide-powered, ultra-hydrating gloss instantly plumps and revives lips with a hint of tint and all-day moisture for visibly fuller, smoother-looking lips.”
Formula: not thick or cushiony but noticeably grippy (or sticky if you prefer that word.) These have fantastic grip, which makes them super long-lasting and prevents them from sliding outside my lip border. I always prefer a more grippy formula so I love that they made this choice. The addition of peptides is exciting to me, I always prefer my lip products to have skincare benefits beyond hydration and moisture.
Scent: the website claims these have a citrus scent and a cooling effect. I don’t smell any citrus but I do notice a strong menthol cooling sensation. So strong that the scent and cooling effect last for 30 minutes before fading. Weirdly, I like it? Normally I hate menthol in lip products but something about this is refreshing and not irritating to me.
