The @vievemuse lip dew glossy lip oil is one of my all-time favorite lip formulas, with my only complaint that they donât have more shades! So I was thrilled to see them launch Cherry, a cool toned berry.
I think the name cherry is a bit deceiving, as I would expect this to be a red color based on the name. I think blackberry wouldâve been a more accurate shade name, but I digress.
If you havenât tried the Lip Dews, they have a gorgeously thick, luxurious formula that adds a beautiful vinyl shine that slightly smooths the appearance of lip lines. They have a really nice grip to them without being sticky, so they donât slip and slide around lip lines.
To me, they arenât a lip oil at all. They feel much more like a lip balm meets a lip gloss, which I prefer! So if youâre like me and you tend to avoid lip oils because theyâre usually slippery and thin, the Lip Dews are different than that. Theyâre a balmy gloss.
These have a strong caramel scent that I donât love because it smells a bit artificial, but it does fade after a minute or two.
The pigment also differs according to the shade. Cherub, cherry, and pesca have medium pigment, which I LOVE. Not too pigmented, but too sheer. Rosa is an amazing color but itâs so sheer it literally didnât show up on my lips at all so Iâd skip that one unless youâre looking for an ultra sheer shade. They also have the shade âoriginalâ which is a clear with gold glitter and I havenât tried that one yet.
I love the packaging, it feels chic, timeless, and luxe, and I adore the chubby applicator that coats the lips beautifully.
Overall, this is one of my favorite formulas and I canât wait to wear Cherry this fall and winter!
