New Sign with Plastic Canvas Letters 🖤🧡🤎
I have been wanting to make a sign for the Yarn Crafts & Coffee Shop located inside America's Antique Mall Melbourne for a while, but like usual, I've been having trouble deciding how I wanted to do it exactly and what colors I wanted to use.
I've been leaning towards using my plastic canvas letters from the beginning but the idea of gluing them down evenly on a canvas is not one I can stand behind 😆
And I was having trouble seeing them attached a different way, until a couple weeks ago when I was like, hey, I love the granny square shadow boxes I made especially hanging on a pegboard wall so why not use them and glue the letters on?💡
Next, what color? 🌪 Guys, seriously. Choosing colors is one of the hardest things for me. It brings me so much anxiety and I fall down a rabbit hole. Mostly because I don't have a style picked out for myself. I'm trying to go sort of cozy farmhouse in the shop, but I just couldn't with the thought of a white background and black letter for every single one, and I wasn't happy with the vision of it on the wall.
I sat it aside for a few days and then I decided to try the burnt orange. I thought I'd be okay with white and orange for the whole thing until I saw the black letter next to the orange one and I was like um, yes!
Good things come in 3s so I searched my stash for another warm color to bring in and boom, mocha brown!
I am so happy with how this is coming along. Can I finish it by our next Sunday Stitching this weekend?
