I love making throw pillows, love it! I make all of my pillows envelope style so I can easily change them out, store them and wash them.
I crochet a top layer and two back panels, and then crochet the layers together from the front side.
✨️ To seam up a crocheted pillow with single crochet:
🤎 Lay the top back panel down wrong side facing up, then lay the front panel down with the wrong side facing down so both wrong sides are together.
🤎 Insert your hook into the next stitch on your top layer as normal, then insert your hook into the corresponding stitch on the back panel, and finally complete your single crochet as usual (ie, yarn over, pull through, yarn over and pull through both loops).
🤎 Continue working all the way across the row to the corner. In the corner chain space, work in the same manner through both layers. I usually stick to (single crochet, chain 2, single crochet).
🤎 A little ways down the side, you'll want to pause to line up the back bottom panel with the bottom of the front panel and see where it overlaps in the center. I like to use stitch markers to pin everything together so I don't have to keep stopping to check.
🤎 Once you get to the overlapped section, you'll follow the same process except adding in a new layer, so there are 3 on your hook before completing your single crochet stitch.
🤎 Repeat for the other two sides.

![How to Crochet Easy Super Chunky Double Crochet Beanie Hat | Dylan Claire Beanie | Cre8tion Crochet
The Super Chunky Striped Dylan Claire Beanie is an easy crochet beanie pattern worked in simple double crochet stitches and fun stripes, and worked in a cozy, super bulky #6 yarn, which means itll work up nice and quick! 7 sizes included from Newborn through Adult Large.
One thing I really love about working with super chunky yarns is how quickly projects come together. In a quick comparison to Worsted Weight #4 yarn when working a double crochet beanie, the newborn size requires 4 rounds of increases while the super bulky weight only requires 2! In the same comparison, an adult small size requires 7 rounds of increases while the super bulky weight only requires 3! Are you sold yet?
I designed this beanie using my own technique to keep the seam straight, and Im showing you exactly how I do it! Feel free to replace with your own method - whatever you are the most comfortable with.

You may find it helpful to have a pair of jewelry pliers on hand to help with weaving, or use a small crochet hook to weave with instead.
