Just days before students return to class, the New Haven Board of Alders Education Committee is calling for health and safety inspections at all New Haven Public School facilities.
The committee sent a letter on Friday to the New Haven Health Department, the Office of Emergency Management, and the fire department, requesting inspections throughout the district after members toured several schools over the summer.
