In this video interview, Maximilian Slawinski, CEO of carbon nanotube (CNT) technology company Canatu, gives EE Times' Nitin Dahad insights into the opportunities for CNT and the challenges for its widespread adoption in area such as inspection in EUV lithography for advanced node semiconductor manufacturing.
In the conversation, he explains why he joined the company, formed in 2004 as a spinout of Aalto University’s Nanomaterials Group. He talks about how Canatu's technology is differentiated from other CNT manufacturers, and how the company is already making inroads into three areas: semiconductor manufacturing; mobility, robotics and defense; and medical diagnostics. He highlights how CNT makes a difference in all three market sectors.
Slawinski also explains a little about Canatu's business model, as well as his own personal journey from being a technologist doing an OLED startup and being in key roles in power electronics, and his subsequent transformation into business and management roles.
