Thanks to the Seattle Transit Measure, an additional sales tax, approved by voters, Denny Way now has a new look, with a bus lane, turn restrictions, and some new no-parking zones.

Here you can find the map of the new bus lane. It means a new route to get onto Interstate 5, turning and lane restrictions on Denny Way, for Route 8, in downtown Seattle, plus a small portion of parking zones removed along Boren Avenue.

According to Seattle City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck, Seattle has added 80,000 people to its population in recent years, but only 3,000 cars.

And Mayor Katie Wilson said Route 8 carries more than 7,000 people each day and is one of Metro's top 10-ridden routes.
