As tempting as it may be for parents who dislike each other, bashing, criticizing, or putting the other parent down in front of your children is a big NO.

When parents do this, it causes confusion, emotional distress, and insecurity. Children may feel pressured to take sides, which in turn can create guilt, anxiety, or loyalty conflicts.

Growing up in a hostile co-parenting environment impacts children’s self-esteem and relationships, making it harder for them to trust others and develop healthy communication skills.

If you are in a difficult co-parenting relationship, consider co-parenting counseling, or even individual counseling, to learn how to raise your children as healthily as possible.

Thank you, Tricia, for your powerful message. #coparenting #coparentingtips
