One of the most common comments I get on my astrophotography workflow videos is: "You know you don't have to grade the subs yourself? The stacker will do that for you." But years of evidence indicate this is absolutely not best practice; you should never trust a stacker nor grading application to grade your subframes for you. The entire process needs careful supervision. And here's why.
