Every year, wildfires burn across California and a growing number of people are living in wildfire risk areas. Jessica Block, WIFIRE Lab Associate Director for Operational Programs, discussed how WIFIRE uses NOAA data to improve wildfire identification, planning, response, and recovery. WIFIRE uses NOAA data to study wildland fires and create proactive applications for operational use for mitigation, planning, response, and recovery through Artificial Intelligence innovations.
