I originally wasn't going to record this but I did say when starting this that I wanted to have everything unlocked by the time the walkthrough was done and that includes all 49 cars. And now that we're finally halfway through the game and also at the same time coincidentally happened to unlock the last of the cars in the game tied to NFS points in my last video, I figured now would be a good time to go after the rest of the bonus cars in the game. Now that I don't have to utilize the start/finish line trick anymore for NFS points. Besides the cars tied to NFS points, there's a handful of cars you can unlock in challenge mode which is basically just quick race mode but getting to choose the car, track, and race settings. As the actual quick race mode just immediately throws you into a random race. Most of these cars are tied to a certain task that must be completed during the race like leading every lap or running an entire clean race, with certain race settings the locked car specifies must be used in order to unlock it, like race difficulty and the number of laps. It's always important to pay careful attention to these rules. There's also cars you can unlock for winning a lap & race knockout.
Unlocking some of these cars can be tedious as one small mistake could mean having to restart the whole race, and especially during those lengthy 8 lap challenges that's brutally painful, especially if that mistake was towards the end. So during the clean race challenges, do what I did and stick to a beginner friendly track like Coastal Parklands while using one of the slower cars in the game so you won't have to slow down much for the corners, since tapping the wall or another car even just once can ruin the whole thing. And as tempting as it may be, don't use the shortcuts as they're much narrower compared to the main road and hitting the wall in these sections is much more likely to happen. And definitely turn traffic off since there's no need for them to be there complicating things. Since there's also cars that can be unlocked for leading every lap of a race, there are a few instances where you can unlock 2 cars in the same race for a clean race & leading every lap if you're good enough, cutting down on the time it'll take to unlock these cars.
Another important thing to mention is the cop cars because unlike all the other cars, there's 2 different game modes they can be used in. Challenge mode, and You're The Cop mode. And each cop car has to be unlocked in each game mode separately. While unlocking them for challenge mode comes naturally through doing the ultimate racer events, unlocking them for You're The Cop mode also requires completing certain tasks during custom challenge mode events. I apologize in advance if this whole video is lacking in excitement. But I was not taking any unnecessary risks that could jeopardize my chances of unlocking one of the cars. The whole video is at Coastal Parklands, so get used to it as we'll be running a lot of laps here, 35 to be exact and yes I actually counted it. This for real now is the last of what I have recorded for now so as usual there’ll be another delay while I get more recorded.
