This is finally it, the very last event the game has to offer. The super bonus 32nd championship event, the Hot Pursuit 2 Championship Duel. It's a one-on-one battle in the Ferrari 360 Spider for a 5 lap race at Coastal Parklands, and that sounds too good to be true. Only one opponent and it's on the easiest track in the game, what's the catch? Traffic, very heavy traffic. This whole race is basically just a matter of who's better at dodging traffic. Taking all the side routes in this race is crucial. In this case not so much for saving time as much as just to get away from all the damn traffic. This event is weird in that even though it's considered a championship event, it can be found in both event trees. You can load it up in ultimate racer mode if you wish and actually do this event with the addition of cops to the mix as well, although it’s obviously advised to not do this unless you’ve already beaten the event.
Regardless winning this showdown will unlock the final car in the game, the Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge for challenge mode, the NFS edition of the Ferrari 360 Spider. Basically just a coupe version but still has the performance enhancements of other NFS edition cars over their normal counterparts. We actually used this car already in ultimate racer event 17. You also unlock a reward movie that can be found in the credits menu in the options, signifying that you've truly finished the game. Glad to finally finish this up & put this behind me after starting it over 4 months ago. This should've never went on for anywhere near as long as it did, but I'm glad to finally be all done. Since starting this walkthrough, I've posted a total of 2 videos in the last 4 months not related to this playthrough. One of which, even though not related to the playthrough, was still on this game. This game currently makes up well over half of my total uploads this year. Glad to finally be in a position to make different content again.
