Artist Aroussiak Gabrielian presents her forthcoming book and design series "Near-Extinction Rituals," featuring prototypes that catalyze new rituals that force humans out of their exploitative relationship with the more than human world and obligate them to collaborate and thus coevolve toward more ethical models for living.
Aroussiak Gabrielian, PhD, FAAR, is an environmental designer, bioartist, and futurist. Gabrielian reimagines human-nonhuman entanglements through landscape, media, and speculative design. A USC professor and Landscape Futures Lab director, she is founder of Foreground Design Agency, an award-winning, globally exhibited practice expanding climate imaginaries and reshaping how we envision ecological futures.
