Poetry in the Garden, held each spring, is a series of live performances is set among the Getty Center’s Central Garden. This year features poetic and musical collaborative soundscapes inspired by the publication "The Scores Project: Experimental Notation in Music, Art, Poetry and Dance 1950-1975," informed by mid-century experimental artists in the Getty Research Institute’s archives like Yvonne Rainer, John Cage, and Benjamin Patterson.

Michelle Tea is an American author, poet, and literary arts organizer whose autobiographical works explore queer culture, feminism, race, class, sex work, and other topics.

Josephine Shetty (Girl Debord) is an experimental pop artist and vocalist, best known for her solo project Kohinoorgasm and as one half of electro-pop duo Pride Month Barbie. Blending susurrate vocals and extended techniques with minimal, hypnotic production, she has performed at SXSW, Berkeley Art Museum, Great American Music Hall, UCLA, and throughout California’s underground music scene. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Josephine also teaches at CalArts and DJs monthly on dublab.
