In this video, I look at the genetic evidence that humans (Homo sapiens) and Neanderthals (H. neanderthalensis) were separate species from the perspective of natural selection and recombination in hybrid populations.
PS: This is now the third iteration of the title, which was originally "Neanderthals Were Not Humans", then "Neanderthals Were Not Humans (Homo sapiens)", and now "Neanderthals Were A Different Species". I moved away from the word "human" in the title to prevent people who weren't actually going to watch the video from just commenting based on the title.
