I think I’ll always have some form of social anxiety. The things that happen to us in our youth, good and bad, tend to stay with us forever and shape our adulthood. And that’s why it’s so important to show up for the kids.
Show them kindness, love, and a sense of belonging.
But spending time with Georja and her friends for her bachelorette weekend reminded me that when I’m around people who feel safe, my social anxiety has no room to breathe, and the air it usually takes up becomes light. And I can just simply be… the weirdo that I am.
