Aside from documenting memories and a new creative outlet, one of the biggest takeaways from this now 3-year journey of vlogging is that I’ve learned to love my time with myself, which has led me to love myself.
I’ve learned to enjoy my time alone in places I thought I should only go with friends, family, or significant others. Before starting a YouTube channel, would I have ever taken myself out on a date? Hell no. Not because I wouldn’t want to, but because it’s not something we’re taught to do growing up.
It was always about finding someone to love. But what about loving ourselves first?
