This is the second single off of my upcoming debut album, Through These Rough Years.
I wasn't completely sure what to do for the lyric video this time around, so I simply just chose to do an image with the lyrics over it as the song progresses.
The song itself talks about the broken nature of today's school system, and about how students like myself, who deal with depression, anxiety, and don't learn very well in a system that teaches you how to memorize, overwork yourself, and then forget, simply don't belong in that system.
It also touches on my introverted nature and social issues, some issues other students may experience in schools like bullying, and criticizes the fact that if you don't make it through school, industry in general considers you worthless, and how nobody seems to care anymore about who you really are, or what you stand for, and instead only care about your grades and whether or not you're a "good student".
For the sound, I chose a heavy metal approach to help show the anger and frustration I, and many other people, have with the current school system.
