Last race at Martinsville was unfortunately a frustrating one. Even though we still finished well with a 3rd place run, matching my result from the first race earlier in the season, we still wrecked a lot as we either brought out, or caused just about every caution that race. It was more strategy than skill that kept me up front for that good finish. Still gained on our lead though, up to a 108 point lead in the Sprint Cup standings on Truex who retakes 2nd place with just 3 races left. Now we return to Texas, this time for a day race, where one more good run here could clinch us the championship 2 races early. But unfortunately Texas is notorious for the tires wearing super fast leading to early handling troubles. I have a better test setup for this race than I did the first time. But if we're gonna finish well, we need to correct any handling issues that arise early as the AI's are very fast here. And with this race being run in the daytime, that means a hotter racetrack, which makes it even less grippy.
