Derrick Callella, a California man who sent fake ransom notes to the family of Nancy Guthrie, avoids prison after he pleaded guilty to harassment.

Callella, who pleaded guilty in July, was accused of sending the fake ransom notes just moments after Guthrie's family released a video begging for proof of life. When questioned, investigators say Callella admitted to sending the messages, and said that he pulled the family's information from a website, and had been following the case.

As for Nancy Guthrie, it has been seven months since the mother of NBC Today Show host Savannah Guthrie went missing, and her whereabouts remain unknown at this time.
