To be completely honestly my first day back to school, today, wasn't too bad. The only thing that I'm going to hate is homeroom and 1st period since I deal with asshats in them. (Thank god my 1st period teacher is awesome.) My cousin is in 90% of my classes this year so that should be interesting.
Don't worry there's only 179 days of school left there's still hope! (nope I totally didn't steal that from a friend of mine.)

My friend Lyoko2516 (who yall should sub to if you like Code Lyoko lol) asked me how to get timecode, and the way she phrased it seemed like she wanted it as a countdown instead of a countup.
This is like my first Tut since like January? Lol. Ive been meaning to get a masking Tut up, but thatll take a while to edit because of all the stops and stuff.
I do realize NewBlue and Sapphire (I think?) have their own time stuff, but I dont think she has those, plus I dont use timecodes from there anyway. Maybe they have a countdown there.
Before I got the extra effects, I knew there was a timecode somewhere. The reason I did both Video/PNG is because PNG files tend to be smoother then video. If I actually checked and had them at the same time, which I originally though until I rendered the full codes on each, you could probably see which is smoother.
On the thumbnail the left of the time is the video and the right is PNG. You can adjust size and what not and move it around, I just chose to keep it in a specific place for convenience.
This is probably a no brainer, and a why did you do this? video. But even the simplest things we overlook. Hell it took me awhile to realize, insert empty media was a thing. (It works for stuff like this and some visible transitions.)
If I actually bothered to look through frames more, I couldve caught some me hitting my taskbar, oh well. *Shrugs* Whats done is done I guess.
PS: I rarely take Tut requests. I only did it this time, because it was easier to show her how to do this instead of typing out and/or sending screenshots. So yea. Got this done in less than an hour, lol.

The challenge goes like this: Go back to all the MEP/Collab parts you have done over the years and showcase what you like the most. Ive seen people use video projects as well, but basically the goal is to appreciate your editing! :D Then tag as many people as you want.
I tag anyone who wants to do this. If you need a reason to showcase your old/current editing, well here I am nominating the person reading this if you havent done it yet! :)
Since I love going overboard with things, this ended up being at least 3 parts so far. With me doing ALL the WLMM MEP/Collab parts I thoroughly enjoyed over the years into one video got to be like a half hour and I know I sometimes dont have the attention span to watch MEP packets that long oof. I didnt want to limit myself to anything like I do with my MEP Packets so thats why certain months have a lot, since some of them were reallllly long. I also wanted to separate the WLMM editing and SV. Did I need over 50 parts in one video so far? Nope. Did I do it anyway? Yep.
Sorry for how low quality the videos seem to be, I only had the packets for most of these parts and the packets were always rendered at 480 back then since WLMM was a bitch rerendering HD parts into another HD video. I ended up deleting the original video file since back then my laptop didnt have much storage on it for everything. I tried putting a watermark on everything that wasnt watermarked but I forgot one RIP and ended up leaving the watermark on a part that had one. Gah. Allie needs sleep or a cocktail, or both.
Also: I literally had to go back through all my MEP packets to see what I liked, and used my phones notepad to keep track so it wasnt hard listing everything here lol. It was time consuming but maybe worth it?

Oh wow, another video from me thats not a vent or a MEP/Collab collection! :O (PS: this was the video I talked about in Say Something.)
Before I get into anything. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
This was rendered and uploaded on the 20th, but wasnt public until Christmas Eve. (It was uploaded a day earlier, because tomorrow will be hectic for me.) Why is that? Its a Christmas gift for one of my closest friends! (...hi?)
I swear if the first words out of your mouth or text are you didnt have to do this well dude, if I didnt want to, this video wouldnt have been a dedication. (Or may have been made for that matter.) Yes this was the video I was complaining about on my Snapchat. I figured you wouldnt think it was for you.
You didnt think Id make you a video now did ya? Well it actually wasnt planned, it was a spur of the moment thing to be honest. A few days ago I realized something. (This actually took me 3 days to make. If I wasnt eating, sleeping, or out of the house I was working on it.) I realized that my life would be so much different if we didnt become friends.
I dont even know if you watched Teen Titans at all, but since I know you like DC media I figured Id use Terra and Beast Boy. I tried to focus on their friendship more than anything else. I also dont even know if you like Simple Plan, but this was the only song I could think of that describes everything. I hope you enjoyed the video regardless.
I was going to make some long explanation about this video and why I did it, but just watch it. (If you really want an explanation, just let me know.) I feel the video speaks louder than what I could ever say. Theres one thing I will say though, thank you for everything. I know I dont say it enough, and I probably should. I know we arent exactly best friends, but youre the closest friend I have. If Im being honest, I never thought wed become friends over the years weve been in Crew together. (PS: you also ruined the word enthusiasm for me since everytime I see that word I think of you.)
Now that all the sappy stuff is out of the way. (Aka: you can stop reading if you dont want to read my frustrations with Sony Vegas and editing terminology you probably wont understand.) Vegas really really hated me. I dont know why, but I had soooo many problems with this video. It kept crashing. When I was finally done with it, it wouldnt render the text I had so I had to render the text separate as a png file and then put it back in the project. Then when I went to render it again, it kept crashing at certain frames so I had to render the whole video separately and combine them. I couldnt do the whole drag the project file into the timeline because even with disabling resample, ghost frames still existed and wouldve ruined my effects I did. (I learned early on with MEP parts I did last month that it did that, because I always used that trick.)
Lets not forget to mention the project deleted itself from my hard drive and wouldnt save a new one on anything. So luckily I was able to get a restored project back to where I only had to redo some of the text. In order for that not to happen again I saved the project on two different things. So tears actually went into this video because when that happened I had a panic attack. I spent so long on it, and was so scared that Id have to start all over. Dont know if I wouldve actually.
I actually tried to combine some styles Ive done in the past. Yes for those wondering I did reuse some comic panels from my Missing video. Why remask when I already had them? I also tried to do the same style for the comics I did for my manga MEP part back in May, but Vegas was a butt and took away the full blur I had. (Which is why those sections are a stuttering mess, sorry couldnt change it. And honestly was better than the alternative.) I did try the same style of text I did in my Heavy video since that was kinda neat. Since Im sending this to a friend, why not pull out all the stops? Making the video was the easy part, sending it to him and writing this description was actually the hardest part of this.
Believe it or not, this is the first time Ive done a video for someone whos not in the editing community. I used to show some edits to my ex friends, but they never seemed interested in them so I never bothered making videos for them. I honestly dont know what his response will be when I send him this, and Im actually scared for it to be honest. The worse thing he can do is just not bother watching it at all and tell me I shouldnt have made it for him. (Or just ignore my text when I send him it.) I dont know what the best case scenario would be, and I wont say what Im thinking because I could be wrong.

Normally for angst I would use Kevin, but I had more of Ben so Ben angst. Yes I used Omniverse, please dont dislike this just for that fact.

TL;DR: Basically the gist of it my habit came back. The habit is cutting. And honestly, I dont even know if I can stop this time. My cure is the thing I use to cut myself, and tightly locking the door is hauling myself into the bathroom.
Ill paint it on the walls, cause Im the one at fault. I blame myself for everything that goes on. Im blaming myself for dragging all my friends into my problems. Hell I hate complaining to my friend about this, I hate myself for it. He already has enough damn problems, he doesnt need anymore.
But now Ive got some clarity to show you what I mean. -Me finally telling my friends about this, even though Ive been lying about other stuff to all but one of them. Hes been helping me, even though Im being difficult. (I dont mean to, but its hard for me to believe what hes saying.)
I dont know how I got this way, Ill never be alright. I dont know how this happened, and I honestly dont believe that things wont change.
