Oh wow, another video from me that's not a vent or a MEP/Collab collection! :O (PS: this was the video I talked about in "Say Something".)

Before I get into anything. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

This was rendered and uploaded on the 20th, but wasn't public until Christmas Eve. (It was uploaded a day earlier, because tomorrow will be hectic for me.) Why is that? It's a Christmas gift for one of my closest friends! (...hi?)

I swear if the first words out of your mouth or text are "you didn't have to do this" well dude, if I didn't want to, this video wouldn't have been a dedication. (Or may have been made for that matter.) Yes this was the video I was complaining about on my Snapchat. I figured you wouldn't think it was for you.

You didn't think I'd make you a video now did ya? Well it actually wasn't planned, it was a spur of the moment thing to be honest. A few days ago I realized something. (This actually took me 3 days to make. If I wasn't eating, sleeping, or out of the house I was working on it.) I realized that my life would be so much different if we didn't become friends.

I don't even know if you watched Teen Titans at all, but since I know you like DC media I figured I'd use Terra and Beast Boy. I tried to focus on their friendship more than anything else. I also don't even know if you like Simple Plan, but this was the only song I could think of that describes everything. I hope you enjoyed the video regardless.

I was going to make some long explanation about this video and why I did it, but just watch it. (If you really want an explanation, just let me know.) I feel the video speaks louder than what I could ever say. There's one thing I will say though, thank you for everything. I know I don't say it enough, and I probably should. I know we aren't exactly best friends, but you're the closest friend I have. If I'm being honest, I never thought we'd become friends over the years we've been in Crew together. (PS: you also ruined the word enthusiasm for me since everytime I see that word I think of you.)

Now that all the sappy stuff is out of the way. (Aka: you can stop reading if you don't want to read my frustrations with Sony Vegas and editing terminology you probably won't understand.) Vegas really really hated me. I don't know why, but I had soooo many problems with this video. It kept crashing. When I was finally done with it, it wouldn't render the text I had so I had to render the text separate as a png file and then put it back in the project. Then when I went to render it again, it kept crashing at certain frames so I had to render the whole video separately and combine them. I couldn't do the whole "drag the project file into the timeline" because even with disabling resample, ghost frames still existed and would've ruined my effects I did. (I learned early on with MEP parts I did last month that it did that, because I always used that trick.)

Let's not forget to mention the project deleted itself from my hard drive and wouldn't save a new one on anything. So luckily I was able to get a restored project back to where I only had to redo some of the text. In order for that not to happen again I saved the project on two different things. So tears actually went into this video because when that happened I had a panic attack. I spent so long on it, and was so scared that I'd have to start all over. Don't know if I would've actually.

I actually tried to combine some styles I've done in the past. Yes for those wondering I did reuse some comic panels from my "Missing" video. Why remask when I already had them? I also tried to do the same style for the comics I did for my manga MEP part back in May, but Vegas was a butt and took away the full blur I had. (Which is why those sections are a stuttering mess, sorry couldn't change it. And honestly was better than the alternative.) I did try the same style of text I did in my "Heavy" video since that was kinda neat. Since I'm sending this to a friend, why not pull out all the stops? Making the video was the easy part, sending it to him and writing this description was actually the hardest part of this.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I've done a video for someone who's not in the editing community. I used to show some edits to my ex friends, but they never seemed interested in them so I never bothered making videos for them. I honestly don't know what his response will be when I send him this, and I'm actually scared for it to be honest. The worse thing he can do is just not bother watching it at all and tell me I shouldn't have made it for him. (Or just ignore my text when I send him it.) I don't know what the best case scenario would be, and I won't say what I'm thinking because I could be wrong.
