After years of trying different vessels that have motors and enough room for a friend or a dog or two, I have come to the conclusion that my Pelican Intruder has taken the honors as my favorite. Not with three motors. Not with a jet engine. Just rigged up as the designers intended. With a 5 horse out back and my little Bixby trolling motor up front, this gets me everywhere I could want here in coastal, inshore, west-central Florida. I bet it would also be perfect for lakes everywhere that are too small to accommodate a big boat. Although, if speed wasn't such an issue, the Bass Raider would be a tough, tiny boat to beat in small bodies of water.
