As for the giveaway, I have the generosity of my friends at Pelican Kayaks to thank for making it possible for me to pay it forward the way I do. They have always brought me a lot of joy and the ability to pass it on to others is a real blessing. That and hauling around multiple kayaks, trailers and other big items up and down the eastern seaboard is hard! So, thank you Josh! For making my life easier ;^)
My buddy Cody is the last person I mention in this video and he really is a hero to many people. Not just the folks hurting from the recent storm in Florida. Cody owned and operated a Sea Tow business in NY and NC and he's pulled many a victim of circumstance and the sea from dire situations. He's a decorated captain who has selflessly put other's safety before his own many times, including on 9/11. He has also been a great friend of mine since we were 5 years old. And he's helped me out very much since I paused travelling on Kon Tiki III. The days, weeks and months I've given towards helping him and his business here in North Carolina have been worth my regrettable absence on YouTube. Sometimes life gets in the way.
I hope to get down to his operation in Cape Coral, but only if I can be of service. I know enough to know when I might be potentially in the way and wouldn't want that. Good news in that scenario, where I stayed with other friends in Tampa, would be more fun fishing and build videos this winter from this channel.
