Years of kayak fishing has taught me the need for having an anchor with you. I have used cinder blocks, metal exercise plates, and lots of other things, but nothing is as compact, lightweight and effective as a little grapnel anchor. Add an anchor trolley and there is no better set up for a kayak in the places I fish.
