So, apparently it's now #Packvember, the month for all things Packard Bell.
Last #IPackvember, I bought a used Packard Bell Pack-Mate 7415 on eBay (the place where I buy the things I later regret™). I'm going to decline to mention why I bought it, but I will admit to paying only $32 plus tax and shipping ($68.12 total).
For some reason, I've bought a new old stock hard drive for it - probably bad sectors starting to form on the original hard drive. Let's go ahead and get that installed, then we will run the best recovery CD available for this system to get it back to factory-fresh condition... at least as fresh as a Packard Bell can be.
Will the hard drive work? Will we get the system credentials restored? Will something else fail? You'll have to watch to find out!

Adam sent me an Apple ][+ that needs repairs, and COMPUTER is suffering from bad 74LS-series chips. Can I fix both computers using eBay (the place where I buy things I later regret)? Maybe. But the more important question is, Will there be regrets along the way?
Will COMPUTER say COMPUTER again? Will the Apple ][+ say APPLE ][ again? Will all the parts even arrive in time for this stream? Youll have to watch to find out!
