I may have squealed a little when I found this. 🤭

Meet my new (to me) sewing machine: a vintage Singer 15K88 in its original cabinet! It was manufactured in the early 1950s in Scotland and it works beautifully.

After taking my latest sewing classes and making my very first garment, I knew I wanted to keep learning. So this weekend we went on a little Willhaben adventure and came home with this beauty.

There's something so special about imagining all the things this machine has already made over the years... and all the things I'll make with it next.

One more new thing for my 50 New Things in My 50s project, and I couldn't be more excited to start sewing. 🧵✨

Any fellow sewists here? I'd love to hear what your first sewing machine was!
