I've had this photo of Janet Leigh pinned on my Pinterest board for ages, and the simple elegance of this look has always inspired me. When I saw this bottle green sweater in the latest Emmy Design collection, I knew it was the perfect piece to recreate this look with my own twist! I paired the sweater with a brown plaid wool A-line skirt from Amazon and a (well loved) belt from Emmy as well. A pair of vintage shoes I bought in Germany a few years ago and of course a vintage brooch to complete the look. In the photo Janet is carrying a makeup case, but I thought my vintage leather purse made a perfect addition.
So what do you think? Did I do the look justice? What additions would you make for yourself?
