While play a video game I encountered sluggish mouse movement. Our raid failed and my guild banned me. UGH! I determined it was the mouse button that was failing and an internet search confirmed it. The buttons I got were smaller but fit perfectly. Even better was these buttons were silent compared to the original buttons.
To disassemble the mouse you need to remove the mouse skates as demonstrated in the video. Using a Number 0 Phillips screwdriver you can remove the 5 screws. The 6th screw requires a T-5 TORX bit. Keep these screws separate from the others that you will need to remove.
Once the screws are removed you can proceed to remove the top of the mouse from the bottom housing. There is a ribbon that connects the top circuit board to the bottom circuit board. Note the orientation of the ribbon cable in the female connector prior to removing it.
Follow the video instructions to see what screws need to be removed so you can remove the circuit board. The left mouse button is a separate circuit board, so be careful with that. Also, the middle mouse button has a spring and is also magnetic. This will capture the screws into the abyss if you are not careful when removing screws. I almost lost one through the portal.
